About the show
Great golf trips are designed.
Not accidents.
Sick Golf Trips is a podcast for the people who actually take buddies trips — the eight-handicap, four-buddies, one-Airbnb crowd. Not the country club. Not the influencer flex tour. The trips you and your people are realistically going on every year.
Why this exists
Most golf travel content is either luxury catalog material ("here are the rooms at insert resort") or gear-and-swing instruction dressed up as a destination guide. Neither one tells you what actually makes a trip sick: the format, the crew, the house, the traditions, the small dumb decisions that compound into a story you'll still tell in ten years.
We're trying to extract those patterns. Every episode picks one real trip apart with the people who actually went on it, and looks for the design choices that made it work — or the ones that almost broke it.
What we cover
- Group dynamics and crew chemistry
- Competition formats that actually work
- Shared housing & the off-course hours
- Budget, value, and trip math
- Logistics, mistakes, and what to never do again
- Traditions: the things that make a trip recur
Who it's for
You play a lot of golf, you have a group chat that comes alive when someone says "what about a trip in March," and you'd rather argue about the right Calcutta format than read another resort review. If that's you, this is for you.
What it's not
- — Not country club content.
- — Not luxury travel flexing.
- — Not swing-tip instruction.
- — Not PGA Tour news.
Real golfers. Real budgets. Really sick trips.
