The Setup
Six guys, four days, zero cart paths. Mike’s group flew into North Bend and drove the last hour pretending they weren’t already exhausted from the red-eye. The house was a 5-bedroom rental fifteen minutes from the resort with an outdoor fire pit that ended up doing more work than anyone planned for.
The Format
Two-man scramble Day 1. Stableford Day 2 (because nobody wanted to hand in a real card after Pacific Dunes hit them in the face). Skins Day 3. Day 4 was just play golf and don’t get hurt before the flight home.
The Hot Takes
- Pacific Dunes > Bandon Dunes, but not by as much as the internet says.
- Old Macdonald is the funniest course on the property and nobody talks about it enough.
- Bandon Trails is the answer to “which one would you play if you only had one round here.” Fight us about it.
The Run-It-Back
This trip is going on the calendar. Same week, same house, probably one new guy because the buddy who got injured on a hike (yes, on a hike, in Oregon, the day before golf) is going to want a do-over.
